Position Description:
JD Google L3 Cloud Engineer:
. Proven experience as a Level 3 (L3) Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in managing cloud infrastructure.
. Strong knowledge of cloud services and technologies, including IaaS, and PaaS.
. Proficiency in scripting and automation with languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
. In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools to automate resource provisioning and management.
. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
. Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across GCP environments using GCP security command center and Google Armor.
. Good knowledge on encryption at rest and in transit.
. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
. Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture patterns.
. Good implementation knowledge of Web Application Firewall and its troubleshooting.
. Good implementation knowledge of Load Balancers and its troubleshooting.
. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases in GCP.
. Good Knowledge of GCP Monitoring and Logging system.
. Good implementation knowledge of IAM and its uses according to compliance.
. Good Knowledge of Key Management and Secrets Management in GCP.
. Knowledge of DevOps tools including CI/CD pipeline its implementation and troubleshooting.
. Design and implement robust disaster recovery and high availability solutions for critical systems.
. Understanding of Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
. Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure on platforms such Google Cloud.
. Identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.
. Act as the highest point of escalation for critical incidents, providing expert-level support to resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, processes, and procedures.
. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and IT teams, to drive efficient operations.
. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in cloud operations, processes, and tools.
. Google Cloud Professional certification is strongly preferred.
