Position Description:

Member of a team responsible for frontline support of FX IT trade booking, order booking, and risk systems:
- Linear FX – Sigma & Orchestrade trade management, Barracuda order management, IRIS risk management, Deal Hub booking, and associated smaller functions.
- Non-linear FX – Orchestrade trade management, Asgard, GMD PS, and THOR for risk and P&L monitoring, and associated smaller functions.
- Member of the frontline FX Risk IT team, providing support for the FX trading business in the Americas, as part of a 24-hour global support organization alongside colleagues in London and New York supporting the FX trading business worldwide.
- Ensure a highly responsive service to trading, sales, middle office, risk management, back office, and all other system users, with prompt communication, swift resolution, and proper follow-up for all issues.
- Work closely with FX e-commerce and back-office IT support teams, as well as project delivery teams, to provide seamless support and delivery from the users' perspective.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the FX trading business (Front Office, Middle Office/Risk, Back Office), manage third-party relationships, and assist or supervise team members.
- Provide high-quality daily support, ensuring prompt issue resolution and consistent communication regarding major incidents when required.
- Coordinate with global teams, particularly the FX Risk IT support teams in London and New York, through daily handover calls to ensure seamless production support.
- Take ownership of production issues, propose solutions, and follow up to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure proactive system monitoring so that issues are detected promptly, ideally by IT before end users.
- Enforce change management procedures to maintain production stability while enabling rapid system evolution.
- Collaborate with project and development teams as needed for Level 3 production support.
- Participate in DRP/BCP exercises (Disaster Recovery Plan / Business Continuity Plan), regulatory/compliance exercises, and follow-up tasks.
- Contribute to periodic local and global reporting (e.g., ITSC and OpCo monthly reports).
- Proactively monitor system health metrics to identify potential issues before they impact the trading business.
- Provide system and process documentation and training to users. Ensure sufficient cross-training within the IT team to prevent key-person dependencies.

- Front Office trading and sales teams within the FX business line.
- Global FX Risk IT Support teams in London and New York.
- FX function team members from IT and other departments (regional Front Office, Back Office, risk system managers).
- Other IT support teams in the front-to-back chain, from eFX to Back Office FX IT.
- Infrastructure IT teams (database, server, network, etc.).
 
Key External Contacts
- External vendors, including Orchestrade, Barracuda, and DealHub, as well as infrastructure providers where necessary.
- Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal Compliance requirements of the Bank, including, but not limited to, the local Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete all mandatory training as required by these standards.
- Maintain sufficient knowledge and competency to perform the role effectively.
- Refrain from any actions that could lead to the withdrawal of certification of fitness and propriety to perform the role.
- Complete all steps required to satisfy the annual certification process.
- Comply with all conduct rules prescribed by the relevant regulator.
 
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Functional Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in supporting or delivering projects related to FX trading applications.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous requests from demanding users.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience providing informal leadership in production situations or during small project deliveries.
- Proficiency in FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, FX Options).
- Strong understanding of P&L and Risk Management concepts, including VaR and sensitivities.
- Fluency in English required.
 
Technical Experience
- Support for systems running on Windows Server environments (Windows Services, IIS, Scheduled Tasks).
- Support for systems running on UNIX environments, including general UNIX navigation and the ability to read and understand shell/Perl scripts.
- Support for SQL database systems, with strong SQL query skills, ability to read stored procedures, and basic query optimization understanding.
- Experience supporting large batch systems (typically using Control-M).
- Familiarity with monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos.
 
Product Experience
- Proficiency with FX products: Spot, Options, NDFs, Forwards, FX Options, Precious Metals, and Swaps.
- Understanding of Risk Management concepts such as VaR and Stressed VaR.
- Proficiency in P&L and sensitivity calculations for FX Options products.
- Understanding of the full lifecycle of typical FX products.
 
Qualifications / Education
University degree, preferably in Computer Science.
 
Experience
Previous experience in a Front Office IT environment on either the buy side or sell side.
 
Specialized Training
Training in the functions and support of Orchestrade, Sigma, Barracuda, Asgard, and IRIS systems.
