Functional Business Analyst / Product Owner

Job description
Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client office (250 Yonge Street, Toronto) at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
o Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for digitized forms.
. Documentation & Specification
o Prepare detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
. Quality Assurance Support
o Assist in reviewing test cases and validating that delivered solutions meet business needs.
. Stakeholder Communication
o Act as a liaison between business units, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
. Change Management Support
o Help manage impact assessments and facilitate smooth adoption of new digital processes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have Core Competencies
. Attention to Detail
o Ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy in requirements and documentation. We have to review mockups and DFRs over and over so this is super important
. Patience & Persistence
o Comfortable working through iterative feedback cycles and resolving ambiguities.

o Skilled in building relationships, managing expectations, and handling conflicting priorities.
. Analytical Thinking
o Strong problem-solving skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.

o Clear and concise verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.

o Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements and priorities. Agile and Waterfall methodology familiarity.
