Position Description:
The Digital Workplace Services (DWS) group is responsible for all services provided to end users, such as desktop services (physical/virtual services, mobile workstations and printing services), unified communications services (messaging, telephones, business telephony and meeting room conferencing solutions), collaboration services, user support functions and all associated technical services (collaborative tools, messaging, desktop engineering, security, technical directories) and all the infrastructure services that support these services, such as user data management, IT directories and multi-factor authentication, software packaging and deployment services.
What will be your DAILY job?
The main mission is to provide Citrix services to the client entities across the Americas and worldwide. We focus on the virtualization of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop applications, ensuring seamless access to Windows applications via a variety of devices.
Main responsibilities:
-Senior Citrix Expertise: Act as a senior Citrix expert, handling both operational engineering and design responsibilities for the Citrix AMER scope.
-Global support and operations: act as a senior Citrix resource for operations, functional teams and projects from a global perspective.
-Solution design and implementation: work closely with IT and business partners to design and implement solutions tailored to business requirements.
-Advanced troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve complex connection and application performance problems.
-Change and risk management: ensure that all production changes follow the established production lifecycle, adhering to risk and change management guidelines.
On-call and after-hours support: participate in on-call rotations, covering office hours and possible weekend shifts in collaboration with flexible team planning.
-Operational documentation: review and develop operational procedures in coordination with global counterparts in Paris.
-Incident escalation and management: escalate incidents appropriately to control towers and management, and regularly review incident management to improve monitoring and reduce the volume of tickets.
-Mentoring: provide mentoring and technical advice to other team members within the department.
-Architecture and strategy: actively participate in architecture reviews and contribute to strategic development activities.
-L3 and application support: provide L3 and application support for incident management.
-This role requires a high level of expertise, strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a global and dynamic environment.
Profile
Skills and qualifications:
Must have:
-Senior Citrix Infrastructure Support: at least 5 years' experience in the administration and support of Citrix infrastructure (XenApp and XenDesktop 19.12).
-Senior IT infrastructure support: at least 5 years' experience in level 3 infrastructure support, focusing on Citrix and related technologies.
-Scripting and automation: at least 2 years' experience in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, CMD), with strong automation skills.
-Windows Server expertise: at least 3 years' experience installing and supporting Windows Server 2012 and 2016. Experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 is an asset.
-Citrix XenDesktop: at least 3 years' experience installing and supporting XenDesktop.
End-user workspace management: experience administering and supporting Ivanti end-user workspace management solutions.
-Netscaler support: experience of administering and supporting Netscaler (12.1) is a plus.
-Exposure to broader IT infrastructure: knowledge of other infrastructure domains such as Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery and SQL Server.
Advanced technical skills: strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex IT environments.
