Position Description:
Within the Linux System administration team, you will be joining the technical experts of the Level 3 support team. As part of an agile system team, you will be responsible for supporting the production and leading with your expertise. Together with the scrum master you will work closely with your Product Owner to deliver a stable and efficient and secure Linux IT system. Standards and procedures will have no secrets for you as, together with the team, you will be handling their lifecycle.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
-Linux System Engineering
-Improved tools and processes for installing and managing RedHat servers
-Assists development entities in defining their technical architectures, taking into account their needs and constraints, while respecting standards and safety criteria
-Management of incidents, problems and product developments developed and maintained by the entity
Expand automation with server, storage, and backup entities:
-Automated process development and support
-Gathers automation functional requirements in Windows and Unix system entities, Windows and Unix engineering entities, and storage and backup entities
-Translation of the requirement into technical specifications and validation with technical references
-API development (Python)
-Maintenance and evolution of a solution for managing users, groups and access to privileges (sudoers), managed in FT Automation:
-Specific project in application of the objectives stated above: Collection of data from local accounts to machines, Linux and Windows
-Continuous improvement of the infrastructure in charge of collecting data from local accounts (architecture, security, function catalog, extension of functional and geographical scope, documentation)
-Investigation and resolution of collection incidents
Requested technologies: Linux Red Hat Enterprise, bash shell, Python, PG-SQL, FastAPI. SCCM and PowerShell would be a plus
-Linux OS lifecycle management and Linux OS development plant management, including:
-Regular patching and updating of OS templates for servers in VMware virtualized or physical (bare metal) environments,
-Maintenance of operational and security conditions, and evolution of the OS template development plant,
-Obsolescence Watch,
-Maintain associated documentation.
The environment is as follows:
-Internal private cloud and non-cloud compute offering,
-Linux Red Hat
-Languages: scripting, shell, Python, Packer, Jenkins Pipelines
-Red Hat Satellite
-Participate in a frontline to analyze and resolve potential production incidents for the benefit of the entire Group.
-Weekly on-call or HNO scheduled interventions possible depending on the projects.
Profile
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to analyze and understand complex issues Linux OS
-Deep knowledge of Linux system administration
-Knowledge of Linux scripting automation
-Distributed Software Architecture Skills
-Red Hat Enterprise Linux
-Development skills (Shell unix, Perl, PHP, Python, git, github)
-PostGreSQL
-FastAPI
Nice to Have:
-Experience in a leadership position
-Experience in a Linux Expert position
-Experience with Agility
LANGUAGE: Français et anglais
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
