Our client's Financing and Trading department manages structured financing transactions initiated primarily by the Global Banking and Advisory department, as well as the orchestration of digital strategies and the delivery and maintenance of the Financing and Trading department's IT projects.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Our team is looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst. As a part of the team, you will be able to:
• Project and application lifecycle
• Collaborate with various stakeholders in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architecture regionally and/or globally.
• Gather client’s functional needs and/or pain points. Translate those needs into technical requirements.
• Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support runbook.
• Being able to read, understand and write complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Implement and automate test cases scenarios.
• Liaise with development teams in Bangalore, Bucharest, Montreal, New York, and Paris.
• Understand regulatory environment and constraints.
• Review/Provide timely resolution of functional issues and help support team to report incidents to the appropriate chain of command. End users are Sales, Traders, Front, Middle and Back Office.
• Partner with development teams (NY/Bangalore/Paris) on release management.
• Partner with the Global support teams (Paris/Asia) to ensure quality support to our end users.
• Provide users with a customized training.
• Effectively manage the Client Relationship with the end user community.
• Train new joiners in how to handle daily responsibilities and highlight standard key IT procedures.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must Have:
• 3+ years of relevant experience as Business Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or relevant technical field.
• Bilingualism: French and English*
• Advanced knowledge in SQL.
• Experience with LoanIQ systems
• Strong communication skills to connect with a wide variety of people/functions (verbal/written).
• Understanding of financial products, structured/trade finance
• Possess a good balance of technical expertise, business knowledge and soft skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong analytical skills, follow-up capability and problem-solving ability.
• Proactive and results-oriented: sets goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources to deliver optimal results.
Technical stack and specificities: SQL – Databases – Microsoft Office – Autosys – File Transfer standards - Client/Server application – Windows and Linux environments - LoanIQ
Nice to Have:
• Programming skills/experience
• Continuous integration experience
• Experience working in a global/international financial IT environment
• Practical experience in the financial industry (i.e., FO, MO, Risk, Compliance or Accounting)
• Experience in a support role in the financial service industry
LANGUAGE:
*Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
Localisation: Montreal
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
