Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Blockchain Technical Architect to join the Technology Architecture team within a large corporate and institutional environment. In this role, you will oversee the design of blockchain solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization’s technology standards and strategic goals. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing technical guidance, co-constructing solutions with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in blockchain adoption across the enterprise.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Main Tasks
Technical advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations on blockchain technology trends, opportunities, and risks.
Solution co-construction: Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and other architects to co-construct blockchain solutions that address complex challenges.
Technology standards: Define and enforce blockchain technology standards, frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
Vendor and partner management: Evaluate and assess third-party provider solutions to ensure acquisition of high-quality technologies.
Compliance and governance: Ensure blockchain solutions adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, AML, KYC) and industry best practices.
Innovation leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends in blockchain, DeFi, CBDCs, and AI, and assess their potential impact on the organization's strategy.
Stakeholder alignment: Work closely with business units and IT teams to align blockchain initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technical Skills
Deep understanding of distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms (e.g., PoW, PoS, PBFT, QBFT), and cryptographic principles (hashing, digital signatures, zero-knowledge proofs).
Proficiency in tokenization, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721), and smart contracts (including upgradable ones) for decentralized applications.
Expertise in enterprise blockchain platforms such as Hyperledger Besu, Canton, Fabric, R3 Corda, and Quorum.
Familiarity with permissioned blockchain architectures, especially in financial contexts.
Experience in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance blockchain solutions.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for blockchain.
Understanding of traditional financial systems (e.g., RTGS, SWIFT, trade finance, capital markets, digital asset custody).
Insight into DeFi and CBDCs, and how they impact conventional financial systems.
Experience with cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience integrating blockchain platforms with traditional financial systems.
Strong grasp of financial regulations and industry standards.
Certifications in blockchain technologies (e.g., Certified Blockchain Architect, Hyperledger Certified Professional) are a plus.
