Automated Test Lead

Position Description:

We need an experienced Lead Automated Tester to oversee quality assurance and test automation activities for a high-impact API modernization project. The project involves migrating legacy TIBCO-based APIs to modern Spring Boot microservices. You will be part of a small team of QA engineers to define test strategies, adapt existing automation frameworks, support functional and regression testing and will ensure the reliability of new APIs.

Candidates must live in POLAND.

Job responsibilities:
• Review and adapt existing automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs using tools such as like RestAssured and Postman
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Ensure backward compatibility and seamless transition from TIBCO to Spring Boot APIs.
• Define and enforce best practices in API testing (functional, integration, and regression).
• Analyze test results and track quality metrics.
• Provide timely feedback to developers and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and testers on automation practices.
• Document test plans, cases, and procedures thoroughly

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of software testing experience with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Hands-on experience testing and automating RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with automation tools: RestAssured, Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, Postman, Cucumber.
• Familiarity with TIBCO and Spring Boot architecture and behavior differences.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and test result analysis.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
