Job description
Missions :
You will be part of our operational teams, hence receiving the guidance of highly skilled engineers, as you discover and gain in-depth insights into Axens technologies process design.
You will participate to unit design for production of Renewable fuels, Refining, Petrochemical or new technologies fields such as Plastic Recycling for projects located worlwide .
This will be achieved through assignment to process project teams as well as mechanical engineering department to contribute to :
- Mechanical conception of new equipment, and preparation of the corresponding standard drawing and arrangement
- Development and/or maintenance of in-house mechanical calculation tools
- Continuous improvement on mature technologies, based on recent operational feedback
- Update of existing documentation (std and details drawing, general arrangement, P&IDs…)
- In parallel, you will have the opportunity to progressively acquire compentecies in Chemical engineering including heat & mass balance, equipment process design (Reactors, Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers etc.). You may also have opportunities to attend client meetings.
- If hired as Mechanical and Process Design Engineer after your apprenticeship, you will be able to grow, with progressively increased project & technical responsibilities.
Desired profile
Profile:
- You are currently studying within mechanical engineering school, and you are passionate about designing complex, safe and innovative systems / equipment. You have a good background of mechanical design (RDM) and fluid mechanics.
- You are motivated by technologies of the energy sector (refining, petrochemical, renewables) and you are keen on the energy-sector changes set to occur in the coming years within this field.
- You have proactive, team spirit, analytical and interpersonal skills -strategic mindset and ability to understand the big picture.
- Fluent in EnglishFluent in English.

Context :
Axens Project Operations Business Division (POP) mission is to provide advanced technologies, basic engineering design, modular units design and technical services to its customers.
We propose that you join us through an apprenticeship/internship within POP Process Department with the end objective of hiring you upon completion after you have proved yourself.
In this Department we work on basic engineering projects and Modular Units Projects for our customers but also on new technologies development.
