We want to establish a new IT service platform for our policy and claims management IT backend systems in Germany. Basically, these systems are the backbone of our insurance business.

We want to set up host / mainframe capabilities in Morocco to make use of the great talents available here. We deal with the COBOL implementation of insurance products, business processes and corporate insurance data in IT solutions.

You will be thoroughly trained in both business logic and software architecture. We employ latest AI tooling, no-nonsense agile methodology, efficient and proven processes and have a sustainable corporate culture based on delivering the core values of courage, integrity, One AXA and customer first.

You will collaborate closely with a friendly, cross-location, cross-functional team of business requirement engineers and IT developers in Cologne and Munich, Germany.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Your tasks are:

• analyzing requirements and implementing functions in accordance with Group guidelines using agile software development methods

• maintaining and further developing the existing mainframe system and existing and new systems and services

• performing developer tests and supporting integration tests

• advising the specialist department with regard to a target-oriented and efficient solution as well as coordinating and supporting technical implementation options with IT

• managing the implementation, i.e. planning the implementation process, coordinating the interfaces involved, ongoing reporting and ensuring the required quality.


What makes us curious:


• Degree, vocational training or relevant professional experience in the field of IT

• At least 3 years of in-depth host/mainframe experience, Cobol

• Relevant hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, DB2)

• Practice in DevOps teams, agile working methods and in cross-functional teams (IT and non-IT)

• Willingness to work with advanced AI tooling and to support enhancing our tool chain.

· Strong independence and sense of responsibility

• High degree of willingness to learn, independence, analytical strength, commitment, and strong communication skills.

• Fluent German and good English skills
