The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

You will join the Group Internal Audit department which comprises 4 teams:

  • 2 that perform audits of the effectiveness of controls operated within AXA SA & AXA Liabilities Managers, and AXA GO respectively
  • 1, the Global Operations Office (GOO) that manages the operations of the Internal Audit professional family of around 500 auditors across the Group (methodology, processes, quality assurance, reporting, tools, data analytics and governance matters)
  • 1 that manages Whistleblowing and Investigations

Within this Department, you will be part of GOO, focusing on global audit practices and quality assurance, with some methodology and governance support to the AXA GO audit team.

Your job and daily missions:

Job Purpose:

To monitor and enhance the quality of the work performed and reported by the AXA Group-wide Internal Audit (IA) function to provide the Group’s Audit Committees and Management Committees with independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of internal control and risk management across the Group. Achieved through developing, performing and reporting on quality assurance (QA) tasks and developing, disseminating, supporting and monitoring our audit methodologies and practices across entities. Also, to provide some administrative support to the Group Operations Audit Committee.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To develop and execute QA plans and activities covering topics such as audit reports, audit execution, issue follow up, risk assessment and annual planning:
    • over all IA teams, performed in conjunction with other members of the QA & Practices team.
    • over Group Operations IA teams (GO & GBS), as a personal accountability.
  • Adding value by providing direct (often challenging) feedback to the relevant IA staff at all levels in a constructive and effective manner.
  • To prepare and deliver documentation, training and support to IA teams to onboard and upskill staff, and to roll out changes to IA methodologies and our IA standards.
  • To prepare reports on the results of QA activities for various levels of management including the Global Audit Leadership Team, the Group Operations Audit Committee and the Group Audit Committee.
  • To contribute thought leadership to the continuous enhancement of IA methodologies and practices, and to support the wider Audit Global Operations Office in the on-going development of global tools and techniques.
  • To support the Group Operations Audit Committee meetings and its relationship with the Board such as setting agendas, preparing minutes and coordinating presentations.
  • More generally, to be hands-on in supporting the Audit Global Operations Office to achieve its key objectives regarding: Coordination of IA operations across the group; Driving consistent working practices; Consolidating and analysing key data for senior stakeholders; Coordinating and managing QA; Managing our global tools.
  • To develop effective relationships with relevant management and teams across the Group IA family, and Group Operations Board members and ExCom.
  • To maintain a detailed understanding of IA standards and an excellent awareness of developments in IA practices and emerging risks across the insurance industry.
  • To be responsible for their own professional development and pro-actively identify relevant training and development needs.

Measures:

  • Accurate and timely production of activity reports for primary stakeholders.
  • Key stakeholder (including Global Audit Leadership team and Practice management community) satisfaction and interaction feedback.
  • Methodologies, tools and documentation maintained as fit for purpose, up to date and compliant with International IA and AXA Group standards.
  • Effective support provided to Practice managers and auditors.
  • Personal adherence to relevant AXA policies and standards.
  • Timely organisation of Group Operations Audit Committee meetings and minutes
  • Evidence of own skills and competencies developed.
