As Senior Process Environment Engineer, you report to the process technology department head in R&D. You have to manage a technician

About your missions :
Participate to Arkema know-how increase by :
- Increasing European market, technology, standard and regulations knowledge in water, wastewater management
- Coordination and technical leadership with WWT Arkema experts in Asia and Americas
- Training and dissemination of WWT good practices among operation and process Arkema community
Project activities : for all stages of Capex projects from feasibility stage to detail engineering stage and construction
- Validate effluents data consistency such as flows, components, concentrations, balances
- Propose process technical options to meet objectives (internal or regulatory).
- Evaluate stakes of different process technical options (Capex, Opex, safety, schedule) and propose recommendation
- Evaluate risk associated with decision or recommendation
- Provide specialist input through design calculations
- Identify external specialist and contractor, and exercise technical dialogue
- Provide knowledge of standards, and regulations relevant to environmental specifications
- Support project management for the review and approval of wastewater engineering contractor deliverables
- Check the critical milestones in construction stages and follow up the commissioning and performance tests

Technical assistance in water & waste water to Arkema plants and subsidiaries in Europe region :
- Provides technical expertise per BU and plants expectations : trouble-shooting, propose corrective and preventive actions
- Develop feedbacks and propose best practices shared among Arkema plants
- Conduct regular reviews of WWT operation and performance in Europe plants

As Worldwide Membrane Technological Platform Leader, take on the role of Leader of one of the strategic ARKEMA technology platform :
- Facilitate a multidisciplinary group with R&D and Process collaborators
- Ensure the reporting of the business necessary for enhancing the visibility of this activity

Manage the projects identified within the framework of the platform meaning to:
- Define the internal and external resources to develop the projects
- Ensure the coordination with external partners
- Perform the internal laboratory studies
- Manage the industrial property
- Produce the reporting
- Enlivening projects' portfolio ensuring continuous renewal of projects
Promote these technologies within Arkema through:
- Training sessions, technical seminars, presentations for industrial, research and process colleagues


Are you looking for a new opportunity ? We are currently looking for a Senior Process Environment Engineer, based near Lyon.

You have got an engineering master degree, preferably in biochemical / chemical process engineering with more than 5 years design / operation experience in water and wastewater treatment technologies.
You are knowledgeable in water and wastewater treatment technologies.

Additional skills in analytical chemistry, environmental microbiology, membrane technologies or other environmental expertise will be highly appreciated.
You are highly motivated, target oriented, good communicant and have presentation skills.

Experience of team working, and especially in a project mode will be a plus.
You also have the ability to design and set up the lab tests for feasibility validation and have good reporting skills as well as a logic thinking.

Frequent travels to plants in Europe should have to be done.
Fluent English in both speaking and writing; good mastering of 2 other languages (French, Chinese, German, Italian, or Spanish) is preferred.
