You hold at least a Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Chemical or Process Engineering with Green Book and you already have 3 years of experience on similar responsibilities.
You also have a strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management system. You also possess the Authorized Gas Tester with DOSH accreditation.
You are well-known for your team spirit, that will allow you to work effectively with the teams on the production site. Your communication, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as your intellectual discipline, leadership and commitment to result will be essentials for being successful.
As you are in an international company, you need to be fluent in Malay and English.
Your responsibilities
You will report to the Assistant HSE Manager and your goal will be to develop training program for Emergency Response Team members, to monitor HSE expenses and to approve and endorse safety control measures to avoid fire, explosion and fatal accident.
Your future responsibilities will be the following:
- Promoting HSE awareness among employees by organizing health and safety programs.
- Coordinate planned safety inspection/audits within the company to ensure the standards are maintained.
- Coordinate risk assessments for operational activities and projects of various departments within the company.
- To review the chemical health risk assessment for new chemical before being used in the lab or plant.
- To lead incident and accident investigation.
- To maintain effective PPE management system for the company.
- To coordinate Health and Safety related training to support the knowledge and skill requirements of employees.
- To coordinate and manage Emergency Response Team activities.
- To coordinate and do the analysis for Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) programs.
- To coordinate and manage the Management of Change (MOC) programs.
- Take reasonable care for health and safety of himself and of other persons, to cooperate with superior, to wear or use personal protective equipment provided as appropriate and to comply health and safety instruction as stipulated under Section 24 OSHA 1994 and undertake the loss control responsibilities.
