What you'll do:


You will be accountable for 

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across property, operations, technology and others to understand, define, and agree on business requirements.
  • Gathering operational requirements, analysing design data and metrics, and developing integrated layouts to maximise capacity and operational efficiency. 
  • Use engineering and industry insight to influence outcomes by educating others on the opportunities and limitations of different technologies or approaches.
  • Create or support business cases to enable the roll out of future automation solutions into the Logistics & Fulfilment networks.
  • Lead, or support our 3PLs, with the integration of smart automation technologies to streamline operations, reduce manual effort.
  • Create future warehousing designs that maximize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical advocacy and assurance through detailed assessments of design against requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of building design and building fabric with the detailed design of the automation.
  • Ensure appropriate simulation and emulation analysis to ensure transparency of benefits. 
  • Consider equipment options, resilience, and redundancy.
  • Support operational testing and provide post-go-live support to troubleshoot and implement improvements.

 

Who you are:

You are a highly skilled and experienced professional with a deep understanding of operational design, processes, and logistics fulfilment solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering design and project management.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies and their applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
