Exciting new opportunity has become available for a Reporting Assistant Analyst to join our Financial Analytics Team.

The Analytics Finance team leads the development of strategic financial/commercial analytical tools in collaboration with non-finance partners to drive better quality business insight which enables the business to make quicker, more effective decisions that can enhance performance across all areas of the business.

The Role

You will own data integrity and accuracy for all standard reporting and MI and drive completion of accurate and representative financial reporting in line with agreed deadlines and quality standards. This will involve facilitating and supporting the production of standardised reporting suites for Business Partnering teams to drive productive action / improved business performance in collaboration with the business.

As Reporting Assistant Analyst, you will:

Produce and Develop standardised reporting suites for Business Partnering teams to support the continuous drive of business results.
Build data extract queries within SQL to service business data requests.
To own and drive the delivery of daily/weekly/monthly results to the agreed deadlines - Ensuring that the results are communicated in a timely and accurate.
Ownership of the forecast and reforecast (CRM) process. Ensuring latest forecasts are represented in all business reporting.
Support the delivery of Finance improvement initiatives and implementation of internal & external best practices to enhance process efficiency and quality of outputs.
Reporting improvements e.g. report rationalisation, design and implementation.

Your skills & experience will include:

Strong analytical skills, Excel & SQL skills and attention to detail.
Some experience of working with and presenting analytical results to Non-Finance users.
Ideally studying towards a professional accounting qualification but not essential.
Team player with good presentation and communication skills (both verbal & written)
Some experience in driving process simplification and improvements.
Some experience in Commercial/Financial reporting.
Experience in using systems that support reporting processes (e.g. SQL, Excel, Business Objects and other reporting tools)
Experience in a large company environment, preferably retail (desired)
