Job description

Job Description

Salary : £50,000.00

Essential : Leadership experience

It’s never lonely at the top in an Argos LFC.

There have been some really exciting things going on behind the scenes here. Argos now combines an online ordering and home delivery model to rival the biggest competitors with handy collection points in Sainsbury’s stores, too.

We’re now opening a number of new Argos Local Fulfilment Centres (LFCs) nationwide to ensure that customers receive their orders when and how they prefer. But what does this mean for you?

As a Site Manager, your leadership experience could be in any customer focussed industry, such as General Merchandise, Logistics and Retail. In fact, we’re keen to nurture the broadest mindsets in order to grow a management team that operates effectively across the site, so don’t worry if you don’t have the technical knowledge, we’re looking primarily for the desire to achieve success through your people and a love for connecting with customers.

What you will be doing

Our metrics are customer satisfaction; your targets focus on the decisions you make to deliver exemplary service and that involves collaboration and communication all day, every day. Funnelling information and feedback from the business back into your diverse and capable team, you’ll ensure products are delivered to our customers safely and efficiently; at the right time, in the right quantity & quality and at the right cost.

A job well done

Along the way, you’ll need to bring an engaging and inspiring leadership approach that drives excellence from your people and promotes an inclusive culture where everyone can be themselves, thus leading to high levels of trust.

Let’s talk about you

Your leadership experience will be grounded in having created and delivered a vision, strategic direction and built high-performing teams.

As comfortable managing priorities and team workload to maximise productivity as you are driving a culture of change, you work well cross functionally and are great at coaching and developing others. What’s more, your strong levels of curiosity mean you’re always on the look out for continuous improvement opportunities, while being mindful of the need to comply with the relevant legislation and create a safe working environment by adhering to processes.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll really benefit from the supportive, family feel and helpful management. What’s more, as you’ll be part of a Sainsbury’s-owned multi-brand retailer, there are many ways you could develop your career across different parts of the business.

Alongside this, we also offer a great range of benefits for all our colleagues, including:

·  Discount card – 10% discount off on your shopping at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu and Habitat after four weeks.  This increases to 15% discount off at Sainsbury’s every Friday and Saturday and 15% off at Argos every pay day.
·  Food and hot drinks is provided in colleague areas in all our Local Fulfilment Centres
·  Generous holiday entitlement, maternity and paternity leave.
·  Pension – we’ll match 4-7% of your pension contributions.
·  Sainsbury’s share scheme – build up an investment at discounted rates
·  Wellbeing support – access to emotional support, counselling, legal and financial advice
·  Colleague networks – link with like-minded people to help fulfil your potential.
·  Our Cycle to Work scheme gives you the opportunity to hire a new bike and cycling equipment, whilst saving on tax and NI.
·  Special offers on gym memberships, restaurants, holidays, retail vouchers and more.

Make every future a success.
