What you'll do
As the Internal Communications Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in driving progress against the company's strategic commitments by ensuring that colleagues understand and believe in the purpose and strategy of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include managing the delivery of colleague campaigns focused on strategic outcomes, developing and overseeing the channels plan for campaign channels, and supporting leaders in engaging their teams through effective communication strategies. You will collaborate closely with the Internal Communications team, Digital Platforms team, and other stakeholders to shape and deliver impactful communication plans that align with business priorities and drive continuous improvement in internal communications. Additionally, you will be instrumental in building strong relationships within the organisation, utilising your experience in internal communications and channel planning to create engaging and effective communication strategies that resonate with colleagues and support business objectives.
Who you are
- Strong background in internal communications and experience of creating, managing and delivering internal communication channel plans
- Experience of working with Adobe Creative Cloud
- An ability to build strong relationships within the Internal Communications team, Corporate Affairs and the wider business
- Good understanding of retail environment
- Able to handle large amounts of information in a time-sensitive environment, to prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Experience of advising stakeholders about tone and delivery of communications
- Experience working with / project managing agencies (desirable)
