What you'll do
As the Head of Digital Operations at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection and improvement of the customer experience across all customer-facing brands and platforms. You will lead a strong site operations function, working collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to deliver a seamless and consistent customer experience. Your responsibilities will include overseeing performance against key digital metrics, working closely with services and major incident management teams, managing an out-of-hours support rota, and staying informed about best practises and evolving systems and processes. Additionally, you will lead a team of offshore colleagues, manage relationships with key suppliers, identify resource opportunities, and lead and develop your team to drive strong digital metrics and customer outcomes. Your expertise and knowledge in the online retail environment, combined with your strong decision-making and communication skills, will be vital in driving a 'digital mindset' across the organisation and achieving the digital strategy.

Who you are
As the Head of Digital Operations for Sainsbury's, you are a results-driven and customer-focused professional with a deep understanding of the digital landscape, particularly within the online retail industry. With your comprehensive expertise in Ecommerce websites, systems, and tools, you possess a thorough understanding of the technology ecosystem in retail organisations. Your strong leadership skills and ability to make sound commercial and technical judgments enable you to prioritise effectively and navigate fast-changing scenarios. You excel at building strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating across various business areas such as Technology, Commercial, Marketing, and Analytics. With your strategic mindset and strong communication abilities, you drive a digital mindset shift within the organisation, protect existing revenue streams, and identify new opportunities for growth. You have the tenacity and resilience to continually enhance the digital experiences for customers and instil a digital mindset throughout the organisation, positioning Sainsbury's as a leader in the digital space.

You will be accountable for headcount and cost budgets covering team of 8 onshore colleagues and a large team of colleagues in our Digital operation centre in Mumbai.
