What you'll do

 

As a Commercial Lawyer at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal support within the Commercial Law Team, engaging with various departments across the Sainsbury's Group to ensure effective legal processes in commercial agreements and procurement activities. Your responsibilities will include providing pragmatic and timely advice to support Group objectives, proactively managing commercial law risks, developing negotiation skills, and contributing to the development of commercial law precedents and standards. Additionally, you will stay abreast of emerging legal areas such as technology and Artificial Intelligence, collaborate with stakeholders, and engage in ongoing personal development to enhance your legal expertise and effectiveness within the team.

Who you are

 

As a Commercial Lawyer, you are a qualified legal professional, possessing sound knowledge of commercial agreement principles and a proactive approach to providing pragmatic and commercially-focused legal advice. Expertise in Technology related contracts and knowledge of SaaS is highly desirable. With excellent communication and drafting skills, you excel in building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, collaborating effectively with internal teams, and demonstrating a commitment to ongoing personal development. Your ability to work under pressure, display confidence, proactively help on related areas displaying curiosity and agility, and exhibit valued behaviours make you a valuable asset in delivering successful outcomes for the high-performing Commercial Law Team and contributing to the legal support across various areas of the Sainsbury's Group.
