The main purpose of this role is to product detailed planograms for all store formats in line with corporate strategy, being aware of developments in the marketplace both in terms of merchandising and display development. You will ensure that all product administration is completed to required timescales and quality, managing activities and prioritise workload in line with Space Planning sales floor planner and critical path.

Main responsibilities

Co-ordinate and liaise with commercial & supply team/Operations/CRT/POS to agree product/category focus, check stock quantities and required supporting POS
Work with Operations to check feasibility of display proposals in store if outside BAU
In conjunction with the Mock Shop Manager, build and photograph displays in the mock shop to ensure that they will work operationally, achieve sign off and use photos for the implementation pack
Design, develop and produce store implementation packs
Co-ordinate with marketing support to ensure that all planograms and relating material are sent to them in the correct format and in a timely manner
To work with and develop space planning processes and tools required to improve the correct planograms and equipment
Using the database, generate store lists to ensure the correct stores receive the correct planograms and equipment
Provide cross functional support to the Design and Development team, providing space management expertise when required
Complete all project administration correctly and to required timescales
Project manage initiatives for store display/ad-hoc display projects relating to promotional and seasonal displays
Use analysis of projects to ensure the layouts make best use of space
Develop, trial and implement new concepts in retail display

Skills and experienced needed

Competent use of Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Good analytical skills
Good planning, organising and time/project management skills
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Experience and understanding of space planning principles
Knowledge of key operations / marketing activities (retail in general)
Visual merchandising skills – know what good looks like and can communicate clearly
Strong customer focus

Desirable

Detailed knowledge of SpaceMan, Apollo or JDA and Cisio or CAD software
Digital photography manipulation using Photoshop
Use of Micro and Macro space planning systems
Visually creative with innovative space planning techniques
