Amphenol Advanced Sensors Position Title: Field Application Engineer – Medical Reports To: Global Technology Director Functional Scope: The Medical FAE will be responsible for technical field support for the Amphenol Advanced Sensors business in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. The primary role will be pipeline development, pipeline conversion, technical support and market intelligence. Position Specifications: 4-year engineering/technical degree AND minimum of 5 years proven technical sales expertise within the medical product and or medical sensor market … temperature, pressure and/or gas sensor experience preferred. Direct experience that includes application of sensors to respiratory care, patient monitoring, and surgical care. Strong communication skills, ability to penetrate the customer’s organization for deep and broad lasting customer relationships, analytical aptitude, medical market knowledge, high energy, self-motivated, goal oriented, strong engineering and problem-solving skillset. Essential Functions: Pipeline development – responsible for the identification and development of application specific sales focus to deliver customer pipeline opportunities aligned to business strategy and market needs Pipeline conversion – responsible for conversion of strategic pipeline opportunities to deliver sales revenue for the business Product and application technical support lead Develop and provide internal sales and external customer training Support revenue growth and build deep and broad lasting relationships with key customers, thought leaders and technical decision makers Provide market intelligence around application focused areas that will provide input to business product roadmaps and guidance to regional sales team Customer roadmaps – be able to articulate customer’s product roadmaps to feed into business strategy develop and direction Regulations – understand new developments that can form the direction of the market and applications Competitive benchmarking - Stay abreast of competitive landscape and potential threats Leadership via writing/creating application notes, product and/or technology white papers, etc. Provide training and key account support to sales > 75% travel Secondary Functions: Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills Ability to work with cross-functional and within matrix teams to help build effective processes Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities Strong oral, written, analytical and presentation skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to interact at all levels of the organization Capable of planning and executing major initiatives Understand and follow applicable Company practices, policies and procedures, while working safely Other functions as assigned
