DESCRIPTION
The Business Development, Advertising and Entertainment organization of Amazon is hiring a full-time Occupancy Planner to support growth for our businesses across North America. In the role, you will serve as a liaison between our business units, our Finance Partners, and the Global Real Estate and Facilities organization. This person will work with stakeholders and data sources to assist planning initiatives as it relates to migration planning and headcount growth.
The Role:
This person will work with stakeholders and data sources to track and report headcount growth by business unit and location. The role will support regional workplace strategists with input forecasting and trend analysis and statistical modeling to drive decision making in multiple regions. There is plenty of growth opportunity with this role - developing migration plans, conducting smaller organizational moves, educating and training employees on workplace standards and procedures and assist working on small projects.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the supply, capacity and demand across the portfolio using headcount forecasts against allocated capacity.
· Assemble, update and report headcount projections and make recommendations for required capacity.
· Partner with Finance on 3-year Financial planning
· Work with Finance partners and Business Units reconciling discrepancies.
· Report actual seat demand versus projected headcount demand at the location level.
· Participates in space audits (including seat assignments, occupancy, vacancy, labs & equipment)
· Participates in office improvement projects
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 3+ years experience in program or project management
· Bachelor's Degree
· Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
· 3+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
· Advanced Excel skills
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and an ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
· Ability to build scalable capacity models
· Ability to deal with ambiguity
· Intense dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.
