DESCRIPTION

Workforce Staffing (WFS), a division within WW Ops HR, is responsible for the management of the Tier 1 talent supply chain. This encompasses market analytics, candidate attraction and communication, strategic sourcing, staffing execution at scale, and vendor management. These processes enable our business partners to meet customer demand by matching talent supply with demand. The organization is comprised of two main functions: Centralized Support (Sourcing, AACE, and O&L) & Field Delivery.

The WFS Field Delivery Team ensures the labor supply efficiently meets the business demand across Fulfillment Centers, AMZL, Prime Now, Fresh, Pantry, and Sort Centers. The team partners with site finance and operations to build the workforce strategy in each market through analytics and historical data. Applicant attraction and engagement through community partnerships, traditional sourcing channels and automated outreach and the ongoing optimization of the applicant pipeline are core functions of the team. The Delivery team defines effectiveness through efficiency measures including applicant to Day 1 cycle time, applicant conversion rates and cost per hire. The team also measures satisfaction of our customers; applicants and community partners, as core KPI's. Delivery teams are physically based in Amazon buildings and organized into geographic nodes.

Job Description:
The L2 Coordinator will help coordinate activities to support the High Volume Hiring (HVH) and recruiting efforts for the WFS team. These efforts include but are not limited to New Hire Events, New Hire Orientation, and Community Engagement. They will provide support to the staffing organization to ensure successful completion of all administrative activities in the recruiting process. This role is essential to creating a positive candidate and employee experience, and will often serve as the "face" of Amazon for our candidates. The Staffing Coordinator will play an integral role in the node's staffing efforts, will thrive on pulling many pieces together to form a complete picture, and will work in a team environment with a focus on individual contribution.

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following characteristics:

- Escalates when actions needed do not have clearly defined resolution steps, and suggests improvements where opportunities exist in the process.

Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting candidate activity to ensure all electronic paperwork is completed on time and accurately
- Providing follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email
- Setup and breakdown of events on a daily basis
- Facilitating both New Hire Events and New Hire Orientation
- Presenting materials to groups of new hires at once, to groups varying in size
- Conducting NHE activities including Greeter, Welcome Event Presenter, Candidate Care Specialist, Computer Assistance, Badge Photo, and/or Drug Test Administrator
- Tracking recruiting activities and reporting candidate status;
- Attending offsite events such as community fairs, hiring events and job fairs;
- Addressing questions regarding recruiting/HVH process;
- Generating reporting and audits surrounding event success
- Identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency;
- Assist in the coordination of other recruiting activities as needed;
- Assist in on boarding of new hires and departures of employees;
- Clearing compliance defects on reporting that highlights event success, with manager approval
- Various administrative tasks, as needed.
- Must be able to travel as-needed to multiple locations weekly to conduct events in various locations within your designated node.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in a fast-paced culture (such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, hospitality, staffing/recruiting, or other related field)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
