Amazon is seeking for an experienced Site Merchandiser to support business operations in Amazon Japan by driving sales with effective and exciting site merchandising plans and creating best-in-class customer experience with improved navigation.

Site Merchandiser will be responsible in designing and executing merchandising plans, creating mechanism to improve customer experience. He/she needs to have strong business acumen and to be able to balance interests from category team, other internal stakeholders, and external partners, Amazon customer being the ultimate priority.

This position will be mainly working with Life & Leisure Category (Automotive, Biss, Home, Home Improvement, Sports, Toys) in JP, central marketing team, public relation, consumer marketing team and other product family's site merchandiser or marketing manager. He/she will manage large and cross-functional site merchandising projects which are complex in nature. He/she will play a leading role in the development and launches of high-profile stores and features.

Key responsibilities include:
· Build a mechanism to improve customer experience on item page, category page, search page
· Build a mechanism for reporting, accelerate adoption and find a way to scale the programs
· Create guide lines to have consistency with all page & promotion & store content
· Develop, execute, and analyze creative test plans for marketing channels
· Lead end-to-end planning and execution of key merchandising campaigns
· Analyze key customer metrics / site metrics / page metrics to form increasing sales / shopping experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires technical understanding as well as traffic channel management (such as email marketing, direct search, SEO, social media, affiliate and sponsored links) skills, sales promotion planning and management. The environment is very fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, passionate about the customer, and is comfortable in working with numerous stakeholders across the organization.

Basic Qualifications
· Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
· Experience designing and executing online customer experiences, and e-commerce marketing
· Communication skills: experience in coordinating teams and communicating to management
· Bias for action, ability to prioritize and attention to detail
· Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations
· Understanding the needs of the Amazon customer, category's customers in particular, and approach projects and problems from a customer-centered perspective
· Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment
· Technical ability in using HTML, plus the ability to learn in-house tools quickly
· Experience using Excel and evaluating data to guide decisions
· Verbal and written communications skills in both Japanese and English
