The Free Search (SEO) team at Amazon has end-to-end responsibility for one of the largest managed marketing channels in the world. Our team optimizes the Amazon retail websites for search engines and manages the landing page experience from search engines for our customers. We develop world leading proprietary technology including an automated experimentation system for measuring and driving SEO changes.
The right candidate will be joining our fully autonomous team which includes Engineering, Business Intelligence and Marketing, and will be responsible for leading projects with significant business impact for Amazon.com.br from day 1.
We are seeking someone who can thrive as an enterprise SEO, capable of driving commercial success at scale while increasing consumer satisfaction. She or he will have experience working with engineering, to scale SEO solutions and grow traffic over large business areas. You will collaborate with engineering on multiple projects at once, report project progress weekly, and manage multiple stakeholders.
This person will drive advancing SEO management, growth, testing, and optimization for our products. In this role, you will identify large-scale opportunities for search engine optimization and translate those opportunities into business requirements, as well as translate these requirements into projects, site features, and functionality.
You will report to the BR Automated Channel Lead, and in order to succeed, you will work closely and be supported with training and a 3 month success ramp-up plan. You will work closely with knowledgable peers in the broader Amazon SEO team who will help with peer-reviews of your projects and help you start and scale your projects.
The BR SEO Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
· Create a robust search engine optimization strategy for Amazon.com.br, including a roadmap of initiatives to drive testing and growth.
· Learn and be Curious and stay on top of key trends and best practices in search engine algorithms, competitive landscape, and the industry to develop winning strategies.
· Audit and analyze Amazon.com.br SEO performance, identify issues, find root-causes, and experiment with solutions to improve performance at scale. Communicate SEO performance and initiative status to stakeholders in weekly business reviews.
· Redefine and evolve the key SEO performance metrics, identifying changes and problems as they arise.
· Lead efforts to solve complex SEO problems, moving quickly to implement ideas and deliver results. Dive into issues and incidents as they occur, perform ad hoc analyses as needed, and/or help escalate them to drive to resolution.
· Work closely with technology teams to make sure the company's infrastructure, architecture, and site features support and enhance the effectiveness of our SEO.
· Own channel execution standard operating procedure, cross team training, and contribute to company-wide knowledge sharing, engaging with stakeholders to determine optimal strategies to drive SEO improvements.
· Develop relationships with external third-parties to license technology where it makes sense to buy rather than build.

Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree; emphasis in Marketing, Advertising, or Business preferred;
· 2+ years of SEO experience, ideally e-commerce or online business of significant scale.
· Knowledge of Brazil internet industry and good business judgment;
· An experienced planner and project manager, with strong cross-team coordination skills. Must be comfortable operating at different levels in the organization, and across various teams;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese, ability to articulate ideas and persuade stakeholders;
· Strong data-driven marketing skills, using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements. Demonstrated ability to dive deep into customer data and translate findings into actionable customer insights and powerful marketing programs;
· Experience following global standards, establishing best practices and driving strategies adoption among multiple teams;
