DESCRIPTION

AWS Security is looking for an exceptional Technical Industry Specialist, Physical Security, to join the Special Programs Group (SPG) to support sensitive and critical US Intelligence Community AND DoD cloud technologies and activities. This position is based in the Denver, Colorado area and will join a cadre of experienced and skilled program security officers in managing the AWS National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

The AWS Security, SPG is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing Amazon's National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The team supports US Government (USG) customers of all sizes who are migrating national security workloads into the cloud by adopting infrastructure and web service platforms. With AWS, our customers can requisition compute power, storage, and other services, gaining access to a suite of elastic IT infrastructure services critical to maintaining their missions and operational workloads. Our customers have the flexibility to choose between a variety of development platforms or programming models suited to addressing the problems they are trying to solve.

As a TIS supporting the AWS NISP, you will own the completion of an array of projects and security initiatives/activities designed to protect your fellow Amazonians, National Security Information, accredited facilities, and critical cloud infrastructure from insider or external threats. You obsess over internal and external customers and successfully deliver support and services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift extremely fast. You are also independent and can manage program security projects under minimal supervision, continuously triage and prioritize accordingly, communicate clearly and compellingly, THINK BIG and outside the box, and deliver exceptional products.

Key Qualifications
· Manage all NISP activities in support of the accredited AWS facilities
· Robust experience interpreting and implementing PHYSICAL security requirements of the NISPOM, ICD 705, ICD 705 Technical Specification, and ICS 705-1/2 builds standards
· Support physical security activities to include secure facility builds
· Deliver quantitative metrics on the status of program security related actions
· Proactively support and direct Physical, Information, Industrial, and communications security activities
· Meticulous creation, maintenance and tracking of accredited facility documentation (CSP, FFC, schematics, CONOPs, scheduling, ticket tracking, Visit requests, etc.), milestones, and key operations and maintenance activities critical to maintaining accredited stats (financial estimates and tracking for IDS, UL certification, and ACS licensing)
· Must be able to deliver messaging, briefings, and proposals in writing
· Drives innovation and looks around corners finding new ways to serve your customer to improve and scale the AWS NISP

· Partner and build relationships with teams throughout Amazon, AWS, and the USG
· May need to contribute to and join the on-call rotation cycle and provide after-hours response/support to cleared staff and facilities
· Develop and nurture relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, Infrastructure Operations and your Program Management team that are critical to the success of the secure facility life-cycle (that you will manage) which includes the planning, design, and construction of what will become accredited facilities
· Develop security processes/procedures for access, response, and control of classified material and propose plans to mitigate environmental, space constraints, and conditions related to the geographic location of accredited facilities
· Manage and contribute to all NISP disciplines, domains, and activities in support of all security related activities and programs
· Perform and manage contract security compliance audits, inventories, and physical security inspections or self-inspections and provide detailed reporting
· Provide all facets of program security support for national security initiatives as assigned

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience supporting and/or managing collateral, SCI and/or special access Personnel, Information, Industrial, and Physical security disciplines/programs
· 5+ Minimum years of experience interpreting and implementing PHYSICAL security requirements of the NISPOM, DCID 6/9, ICD 705, ICD 705 Technical Specification, and ICS 705-1/2.
· 3+ years experience reviewing, reading, and creating schematics, architectural, system, HVAC, and electrical drawings in programs such as AutoCAD, Micro-station, or Visio.
· This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
