DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Mexico business. You will serve as the primary attorney responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters. You will work directly with the business, serving as counsel on strategic deals, providing day-to-day advice, resolving marketing and consumer protection issues that arise in our daily operations and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
A successful candidate will have a strong transactional background and be hard-working, proactive, entrepreneurial and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

Principal duties include:

· Providing ongoing legal counseling in a wide range of legal areas, such as consumer protection, marketing, intellectual property, digital media and regulatory compliance
· Product or service counseling support
· Serving as lead counsel and directly advising business clients on strategic deals
· Resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong academic credentials including a law degree from a top Mexican university is required
· At least 2 full years of legal experience as a transactional attorney, preferably with some portion of that experience in technology and commercial transactions.
· Strong communication, analytical and computer skills
· Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral), including the ability to draft and negotiate contracts
