Working student (f/m) in Geographic Information System Project

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Allianz Global Platforms/Compliance and Cross Platform Services is responsible for running various projects related to new Compliance and Risk technologies (e.g. Geospatial tools) and SAP technology enhancements (e.g. Fiori, Hana). To cope with the increasing amount of project work especially in the area of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), we are looking for an ambitious working student.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GIS Project and implementation support

Data analysis and cross functional participation on risk solutions

Analysis of GIS related data and provision of Hazard layers

Team Support on various projects related to new technologies (e.g. GeoSpatial tools)

Provide support for other corresponding PMO processes and actively participate in technical onboarding of Allianz entities globally

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Experience working with geospatial data, GI-Systems and/or big data analytics

Undergraduate or Graduate student in geoscience, a technical discipline, or mathematics

Skills and Competencies

Attention to detail and ability to quickly grasps complex topics

You have a sound familiarity working with MS Office applications and perhaps databases

Ideally, you already have experience in the field of Natural Catastrophes, as well as in SAS and VBA programming in both Access and Excel. Python programming skills, GIS knowledge (QGIS, ArcGIS) and experience on automation of data processing would be a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Team oriented in an international environment

Fluency in English is mandatory; the ability to speak German would be nice to have
