Underwriting Technicians are responsible for developing strong relationships with our brokers, underwriters, and operations partners. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:  

  • Using Aplus system , Isonet website and Allianz Commercial mandatory endorsement enhanced tool for reviewing and checking monthly pre-renewal accounts/polices regarding applicable ISO forms / endorsements/ exclusions / state mandatory ISO forms for different states and AGCS forms/endorsements exclusions / and state mandatory AGCS forms for different states for preparation of renewal quotes. 

  • Reviewing Fac/RI Agreements and US Co-Ri excel sheets for RF policies, including inputting and attaching documents in GPS and SharePointe Drive. 

  • Updating GPS dates entries for policy issuance, invoice/billing dates and due dates and allocating policy premiums and premiums ceded to LOEs using different applications and systems such as Aplus, Global Genius (GG) and GPS. 

  • Contacting Finance account handlers for status of premium payments due or past due and SSU or offshore teams for status of policies issued. 

  • Using SharePoint Drive for needed copy of policy documents, quotes or binders , loss runs etc. 

  • Provide effective and efficient service to brokers, clients, underwriting, claims and credit control/accounting. 

  • Responsible for supporting underwriting production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files and accounts – and if required, interact with UW/Broker in case of missing information. 

  • Act as a point of contact for underwriters, brokers, and operations offshore Account Technicians, and support timely and accurate delivery of Quotes, Policy documentation, Endorsements, etc. 

  • Proactive communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Proactively and collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met. 

  • Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives. 
     

What you’ll bring to the role  

  • 3+ years of experience with Corporate and/or Specialty Insurance; 

  • Experience in policy administration or other core insurance services, with an advanced understanding of the policy administration life cycle (e.g., information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, and cancellation); 

  • Account management experience; 

  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment; 

  • Ability to build and foster relationships across the organization and with our brokers/clients; 

  • Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office applications; 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; 

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills; 

  • A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.  As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
