Who will you join?

Within Allianz SE, Group Risk (GR) is in charge of managing risks to bolster Allianz's financial strength and to support value-focused company leadership. As such Group Risk is responsible for monitoring, managing and reporting on the Group's overall risk profile. In this context, the Independent Validation Unit is the central global validation function, being responsible for independently validating internal models across many risk types in the context of Solvency II.

In your role as a validator you support the Independent Validation Unit team with validating models and coordinating the group-wide major model change process with our Operating entities within Enterprise Risk, Governance & Control department at Allianz SE. You will also support the communication to supervisory authorities.

How can you make an impact?

You will play a key role in enhancing Allianz's Internal Model and ensuring compliance with Solvency II (SII) regulations by:

Validating Property & Casualty (P/C) Underwriting Risk models
Presenting validation results to senior management and providing actionable improvement recommendations
Managing the model change process in close collaboration with senior management and supervisory authorities
Maintaining strong communication with Model Owners and Internal Model entities across the globe
Engaging directly with the supervisory authority, BaFin

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
Actuarial qualification (or equivalent)
Several years of professional experience in risk modeling within the context of Solvency II (insurance) or Basel II/III (banking), specifically in the Property & Casualty Risk area
Fluent in English; German proficiency is a strong advantage
Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and statistical analysis tools/programming languages (e.g., R, Python)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong technical expertise and analytical capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
Interest or experience in other risk modeling areas (e.g., Operational Risk or Tax) is an advantage
Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
