Job Purpose / Role:

Support new products and services; continuous improvement of service quality and productivity; making use of new technology. Effectively supporting organizational changes and the growth strategy in addition to helping drive profitability in a deadline driven, market changing, environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Provide an effective and efficient service to Brokers / Clients, Accounting, Claims, Credit Control, Underwriting. Main responsibilities include:

·  Act as a point of contact for Underwriters and support timely and accurate delivery of quotes, policy documentation, endorsements, etc.
·  Complete standard quote templates including ensuring completeness of information.
·  Directly interact with brokers / clients for follow-ups, etc.
·  Ensure complete information handovers into ATs and ensure output is aligned to Underwriters / Broker / End insured requirements.
·  Ensure timely delivery of all tasks as defined in the above scope of activities.
·  Perform preliminary risk appetite check and Broker / Client value.
·  Post-bind endorsements, etc.
·  Proactive communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
·  Review, update & issue binders and prepare files for audit.
·  Support in data entry tasks associated with pricing.
·  Support / Within thresholds handle renewal underwriting tasks (without underwriting authority levels) and ensure account readiness for the renewal cycles.
·  Support continuous process improvement and automation initiatives within their own area of operations.

 

Account Management Support for Underwriters

·  Accurately and efficiently populate front / Mid Office IT system(s) E.g., CUBE, GG, A1, Amanda, etc. (depending upon Line of Business) with policy data utilizing information received from all relevant sources. (Booking of premiums).
·  Collect and provide relevant information for quotation to Underwriters. Using or providing all relevant information to prepare policy-set up accurately and efficiently, binder and issuance as well as booking preparation for new and renewed business. Compiling or creating non-standard policy wordings and aligning with Underwriters and Brokers. Preview of revised broker wordings compared to expiring. Providing suggestions to Underwriters.
·  Ensure accurate and timely handover of information to offshore teams to support policy setup and bookings.
·  Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, whenever applicable as per agreed scope - e.g., policies, certificates, endorsements to broker (or client), co-insurers, captives, and re-insurers.
·  Perform NB and RN Submission and its related tasks. e.g., CUBE submissions, credit checks, sanctions check, etc.
·  Responsible for supporting Underwriters production by reviewing and interpreting source underwriting materials regarding completeness of required information - including broker presentation, slips, underwriting files, and accounts / loss history – including interactions with Brokers in case of missing information. Authorization in line with assigned limits. Acting as SME for resolving an GBO AT queries and ensuring complete and accurate handling of the account from GBO.
·  Utilize product and process knowledge to offer suggestions and recommendations to CSU / Underwriters.

 

Client Engagement

·  Attend relevant internal and external meetings along with Underwriters.
·  Develop effective working relationships with both internal functional units and external customers, including Brokers / Underwriters, Claims, Credit Control, Reinsurance, and GBO offshore Account Technicians. Regular exchange with Underwriters / Broker regarding all account specific matters.
·  Direct engagement with end insureds and brokers is required for this client-facing role as supports Underwriters and ensures end to end client servicing expertise for policy administration activities.
·  Liaise with other countries to drive process improvement and harmonization of operational tasks on global basis.

 

Credit Control

·  Coordinate AQS requests and complex queries with GBO offshore, credit control, brokers, Underwriters, etc., to support resolution of reconciliation discrepancies.
·  Regular monitoring and follow-up on receivables and policy issuance.

 

Technical Expertise

·  Develop in-depth product / process knowledge in respective area / Line of Businesses to become an Expert in specific subjects.
·  Support cross-functional projects on process harmonization and/or automation.
·  Support system UAT testing and other ad-hoc initiatives.

 

Workflow & Time Management

·  Proactively and collaboratively manage and prioritize workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met.
·  Ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and follow-up of all accounts in the respective responsibility and escalation, if required.

 

 

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:

 

Education

·  Completion of a recognized insurance qualification or equivalent in the financial sector.

 

General Skills

·  Ability to motivate others and is an effective team player, and able to coach and train staff.
·  Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
·  Task Planning: Time management skills and experience of scheduling tasks in accordance with daily review of priorities.

 

Languages

·  Fluent in English.
·  Multilingual or fluency in local language is a plus.

 

Technical Skills

·  Ability to continuously develop technical and systems knowledge, business, and insurance understanding.
·  Account management and ability to coordinate with other functions.
·  Advanced understanding of policy administration life cycle, including information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation.
·  Commercial and large corporate insurance experience, preferably client servicing (broker or company background) is preferred.
·  Excellent knowledge Microsoft Office applications and experience of relevant business applications and systems.
·  Good understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages.
·  Experience in policy administration in support of Underwriting.
·  Experience working in a cross-cultural environment with strong collaboration skills and ability to motivate others to achieve common goals.
