What you do:

Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the financial analysis, planning and reporting of the Company results on an IFRS and statutory basis. This position requires strong written and verbal skills and provides communication to both internal and external customers. Responsible for the collection, analysis, review, and communication of the financial business drivers of the Company to both senior and executive leadership and Allianz SE.

 

  • Ability to work independently on multiple, competing priorities.
  • Effectively responds to inquiries and requests.
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to achieve clear, consistent, and effective communication of results.
  • Participate in the preparation and communication of monthly and quarterly financial results packets for senior and executive management.
  • Participate in the annual financial plan process across all of the impacted financial areas of the company (actuarial, controllers, Allianz Investment Management, and corporate risk management).
  • Broad understanding of the company’s policyholder liabilities and asset portfolio as well as the key drivers or our financial results.
  • Solid understanding of accounting as well as actuarial concepts in order to effectively ask questions, analyze and explain our IFRS and Statutory reported financial.
  • Deliver high customer satisfaction and understanding in responding to routine and ad hoc Allianz SE requests.
  • Excellent understanding of the importance of internal controls with adherence to the controls in place. Recommends improvements to controls or need for future controls.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting work experience.
  • Life insurance accounting experience, including knowledge of actuarial concepts, reserving, investments and derivatives.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and Statutory accounting concepts and guidance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Project management and problem-solving skill
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
