The Specialist - Testing will report to the Manager - Testing and work closely with Test Leads, Central Test Factory, HR Learning & Development, and Functional Testing Teams. The Specialist - Testing supports QA teams within the Insurance-Finance and Assistance-Finance domains by delivering structured onboarding, coaching, and quality assurance oversight. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, developing team capabilities, and ensuring consistent performance through targeted training and process improvement
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Development
- Train and onboard new recruits into the Insurance-Finance and Assistance-Finance testing teams
- Design and deliver structured onboarding programs and continuous learning session
- Track training effectiveness through surveys, performance monitoring, and feedback loops
- Maintain version-controlled training materials, SOPs, internal knowledge bases, and FAQs
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through workshops and standardized documentation
- Provide hands-on support and guidance on testing tools and applications
- Coordinate and support the “Key Users” network for test-related applications
- Mentor junior testers in both business knowledge and tool usage
- Maintain a training calendar aligned with delivery and release timelines
- Recommend process improvements based on internal standards and industry best practices
2. Quality Assurance & Coaching
- Monitor and assess Test Runs for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct regular quality spot checks using predefined test cases
- Identify improvement areas in collaboration with QA leads and operational managers
- Perform root cause analysis of test errors and develop targeted learning content
- Conduct 1-on-1 feedback sessions post-errors, documenting root causes and action plans
- Share monthly quality and training performance reports with relevant stakeholders
- Maintain and update the quality framework
- Align training programs with evolving business and testing requirements
Key Abilities

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoin
Familiarity with business and QA tools:
- JiraMaster / Zephyr Platform
- SharePoint / Confluence (documentation and collaboration)

Candidate Profile
- Higher School Certificate (HSC), preferably with Accounting, Mathematics, and English/G
- BSc in IT, Accounting, Business Management, or a degree in IT with ACCA (optional)
- ISTQB Certification (optional but considered an advantage)
Experience
- Experience in Software/Functional Testing in a non-regression or UAT environment
- Exposure to QA methodologies and tools
- Prior experience in corporate training, coaching, or onboarding is a plus
- Familiarity with insurance or financial service processes is an advantage
