We are looking for a Senior Risk Consultnat/Engineer to join our team in Tokyo.

Our team plays a vital role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to support our clients' business objectives. We collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies and solutions tailored to our clients' needs.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Expert Senior Risk Consultant in Asia and the Underwriting Division Manager in Japan.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, including desktop and onsite surveys, to evaluate potential exposures and controls for underwriting purposes.
Loss Control Programs: Develop and implement customized loss control programs in collaboration with underwriting, claims, clients, and brokers, ensuring alignment with agreed budgets.
Client Operations Survey: Perform detailed surveys of client operations to collect relevant data, identify hazards, and discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate detailed reports and actionable recommendations.
Technical Training: Provide support for technical training presentations to internal and external clients, ensuring effective communication of risk management strategies and practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure comprehensive risk management solutions are delivered effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of services provided.
Global Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate information sharing and collaboration with Risk Consultants in Japan and other countries to contribute to mutual development and skill enhancement across the organization.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Proven experience in risk assessment and management, preferably within the insurance industry.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
Degree in Engineering (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire) or equivalent in other areas considered alongside extensive technical experience.
Loss prevention engineering experience and/or project management skills would be a plus.
Fluent Japanese language skills (spoken and written).
English communication skills (business-level).
Proficiency in AI skills: The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable.
