The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join a team of experienced technical experts who manage a large commercial combined, property and liability portfolio. Working proactively with Broker partners and Allianz Customer Relationship Executives you will ensure that our existing customers receive a best-in-class service from us. A key component of the role is underwriting our religious and education portfolio. This process involves regular engagement with internal stakeholders in Customer, Pricing and Portfolio Management to ensure that we deliver against our retention and GWP targets, which support our overall growth strategy.

 

Role Responsibilities:

·  Profitably underwrite religious and education renewals to achieve GWP targets
·  Manage and develop relationships with our direct customers and Broker partners, within the team and with colleagues in other areas of the business
·  Oversee the customer outcome of allocated renewals aligned to target KPI’s
·  Balance speed of turnaround with technical requirements of the role to deliver on renewal retention targets
·  Engage with internal stakeholders in Sales and Distribution, Pricing and Portfolio management to negotiate terms and conduct detailed risk assessment and acceptance within existing Delegated Underwriting Authority ( DUA ) framework agreements
·  Identify and implement improvements in process, proposition or service to best serve our customer base

 

Essential Experience

·  A minimum 3 years’ experience in general insurance
·  Understanding of our Customer base and their insurance requirements
·  APA or relevant qualification**
·  Experience in customer relationship management, achieving targets, technical underwriting in the enterprise area.

 

Desirable Experience

·  CIP or working towards ACII
·  Experience in a general insurance role or Enterprise.
·  Proficiency in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM system) and i90

 

Regulatory Notice

**This role is subject to Minimum Competency Code (“MCC”) as provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland.  A recognised insurance qualification may be required for this position. Appointment to this role will be subject to the requirements provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland.   This role is a Control Function (CF-4 & 8) and is subject to F&P Standards.  This includes the requirements provided for by the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023.  See Link:  Individual Accountability Framework | Central Bank of Ireland.   The successful candidate will be provided with the relevant Conduct Standards (including Additional Conduct Standards) training, where required.
