Job role

 

The Global Pricing team is part of the Chief Underwriting Office at Allianz Commercial and is responsible for understanding Allianz’s portfolios and their performance and for ensuring the pricing tools are calibrated to secure Allianz’s future profitability. You will join an international team located across London, Munich, Bucharest, Chicago and New York.

Allianz Commercial is undergoing significant transformations in its pricing platforms and seeks to expand its Global Pricing team to support this evolution and contribute to ongoing projects focused on portfolio performance and pricing analyses. In this role, you will be a vital member of the Property and Natural Resources & Construction team. You will support the development and implementation of pricing strategies with a focus on natural catastrophe pricing, while also contributing to cross-line pricing best practices and technical excellence. Your role will involve guiding the performance of portfolios, informing pricing strategies to meet long-term profit targets, and ensuring AGCS's agility in adapting pricing improvements.

 

What you will do

 

·  Support the development and maintenance of the cross-lob modelled and non-modelled cat pricing. In particular, this involves the refinement of the pricing tools through updates of hazard maps/vendor models, recalibrations and the development of appropriate statistical pricing methodologies
·  Contribute to pricing projects through data analysis/manipulation using SQL/Python coding
·  Support the regular deep-dive profitability reviews of the portfolio.
·  Monitor outcomes of the portfolio actions implemented following profitability analyses
·  Support underwriters through Case pricing of the largest and more complex accounts.
·  Successfully collaborate across the P,NR&C pricing team and peer review work from other team members if required

 

What you bring

 

·  Part qualified P&C Actuary
·  Strong computer skills, particularly Excel, VBA and SQL/Python
·  Ability to work with complicated multi-national data landscape
·  Experienced in discussing technical information to a non-technical audience
·  Strong mathematical and analytical skills with great attention to detail, Including an ability to effectively analyze and interpret data

 

You have

 

·  Have 3-6 years of general insurance experience in a quantitative role
·  Self-motivated / proactive with natural curiosity to ask probing questions and ensure that those questions lead to appropriate action
·  Experience of commercial lines pricing desirable, ideally large corporate and specialty lines
·  Experience in natural catastrophe risk and knowledge of RMS/AIR is a plus
