About the Job

As a PL1 Batch Developer, you will be responsible for developing and testing scalable batch programs, efficiently managing large datasets, and integrating web services within a Linux-based Microfocus Runtime Environment. Your role will be crucial in customizing standardized software to support core insurance processes and ensuring seamless data integration and transfer between different systems. What You Do

Develop and test scalable batch programs based on design specifications.
Efficiently manage large datasets and resources for batch jobs, including CPU and memory.
Analyze and maintain existing legacy code while defining data structures.
Integrate web services within a Linux-based Microfocus Runtime Environment and facilitate data integration between systems.
Customize standardized software to support core insurance processes and evaluate workflows for automation.
Create unit tests, regression tests, and adopt program documentation.

What You Bring

Proficiency in PL1.
Experience with SVN/GIT.
Familiarity with Eclipse.
Strong SQL skills and experience with DB2.
Experienced with JCL (Job Control Language).
An agile mindset with experience in Agile methodologies and English proficiency at B2 level.
German language skills and Java experience are an advantage.
