Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Street Pricing Motor Unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and integration
Data preparation and maintenance development
Support the development and updating of unit reports
Design, deploy and monitor Machine Learning models for Motor pricing
Ensure that machine learning models adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, implementing necessary checks and documentation
Collaborate with other Business Units to define technical specifications and requirements for data solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and objectives

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
Previous experience of 3-5 years as Data Engineer/Scientist or similar role in Insurance field, familiarity with Motor business would be an advantage
Strong experience with Machine Learning models development in Python (scikit-learn, Optuna, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc)
Strong experience with SQL and PySpark for Big Data processing
Proficiency in MLOps tools and practices
Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
Experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or similar)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar)
Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics would be a strong plus
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Power Point
Proactive and innovative attitude in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
Great curiosity in order to create an overall vision
Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
