We are looking for a Liability Claims Adjuster, the role will be based remotely in the United States. 

 

The Impact You Will Have

The Liability Claims Adjuster will proactively investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of assigned Commercial Liability and Commercial Auto claims in accordance with established best practices and assure claims are handled within granted autonomy limits. In addition, the Liability Claims Adjuster will:

·  Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients as well as internal business partners.
·  Provide efficient claims handling within team while working with third-party service providers in achieving economical results and to provide high quality service to all internal and external relationships.

  Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

•     Investigate high volume claims that involve complex liability issues on primary general liability and auto claims.

•     Evaluate, address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels

•     Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g. Independent Adjusters, Experts)

•     Negotiate and resolve claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions

•     Ensure claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines                                                 

•     Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AzC Claims procedures and guidelines

•     Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, as well as other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

•     3 to 5 years of proven track record in handling Liability claims involving complex coverage and damage issues.

•     Detailed understanding of claims handling process. Solid knowledge of claim handling process from notification to settlement and recovery

•     Demonstrate established relationships with brokers at peer level group and well established in local market

•     Product and Coverages: Detailed understanding of GL and Auto claims products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages

Solid knowledge of claim handling process from notification to settlement and recovery

•     Ability to negotiate best positions for AzC and client, sometimes in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties  

•     Reserving: A knowledge of reserving principles and practices

•     Negotiation Savvy: Ability to negotiate resolution with claimants and/or their lawyers

•     Writing Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in writing, including letters and email communications

 

The annual base salary range base pay range for this role is $61,091 to $99,491.   The annualized represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.  As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
