Who will you be joining? 

Group Technology Finance (GTF) is the central unit of Allianz Group that:
- is responsible to oversee the planning and subsequent controlling of IT run and change budgets of Allianz OEs, 
- develops measurement and steering tools for managing IT budgets and provides analytical insights on operational KPIs, benchmarks and heatmaps,
- supports the transformation project within the Allianz Group towards its IT target picture and architecture,
- drives the Group's IT planning and controlling also thanks to two major Roll out: SAP IP module (IT planning / actuals reporting tool) and Global IT Dashboard (a comprehensive set of KPI to steer the IT activities in the Group).
In this regard, GTF is a key interface of the COO are (H4) towards CFO area (H2), Allianz Customer Model development (ACM), Allianz Technology and the OEs.

 

How can you make an impact? 

You support the team in their daily work, e.g.: 

 

·  Active involvement in the IT planning and Controlling process, during the several reporting periods (planning, quarter, year end)
·  Analysis of Operating Entities' result and Board presentation preparation
·  Improvement and documentation of internal processes and supporting creation of automatic technical validation
·  Involvement in SAP IP roll out project, including interactions with Operating Entities (OEs), development and testing of new tool functionalities, creation of training material and documentation for internal useres
·  Support in the reporting through Global IT Dashboard designing and improvement and validation of the OEs data delivery in order to improve IT steering in the group

 

This experience offers you a great opportunity to get to know the insurance industry and the worldwide entities of the Allianz Group. In addition you will acquire valuable analytical skills . You will work independently with guidance from senior project managers and your personal mentor.

 

What are you made of?  

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

·  You are at an advanced stage of your degree and have a proven track record (post-bachelor)
·  Studies in Business Administration, Economics, Finance and other business related fields or Mathematics and Computer Science with Economics a minor subject
·  Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is helpful (but not a must), additional language skills are a plus
·  Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, VBA and PowerPoint
·  Knowledge of data analysis and /or data warehouse tools
·  Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year
·

Preferred Qualifications 

 

·  Strong analytical skills, especially quantitative aptitude
·  Ability to communicate in a clear, well-structured manner
·  Experience in handling and interpretation of data
·  Interest in IT and its impact on (insurance) business
·  Experience in project work as well as work experience in consulting or financial services industry is a plus
·  Good social skills and cultural awareness
·  High degree of sensitivity and accuracy in working on key strategic issues for the Allianz Group
·  International experience (e.g., stay abroad) is a plus
·  Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
