JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Allianz Climate Solutions GmbH (ACS) is a subsidiary of Allianz SE Re. ACS is the competence center for climate change with a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon regulation. ACS offers insurance solutions as well as advisory services on financing for renewable energy projects to external clients and Allianz companies. ACS is also responsible for the climate strategy of Allianz Group and serves as catalyzer for mainstreaming climate into business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work in a diversified and challenging environment, which allows very active involvement with increasing responsibilities in a small team structure. You contribute to internal and external communication and advisory around the financing of the energy transition, energy efficiency and climate change as well as climate insurance. A key focus is on integrating climate change considerations into asset management. Typical tasks include the development of presentations or briefings on climate or energy-related financing topics (e.g. clean infrastructure investments), support in the context of different research co-operations and in the awareness raising/development of risk management tools for better integrating climate change in the daily business at Allianz.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Qualification:

Studies of Economics/Finance, Law, Politics, Geography or Communication (at least 3 semesters)

Good knowledge of climate change science, policies and/or renewable energy markets

Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments desired

Fluent German and English (written and spoken)

At ease in working with MS Office, in particular Power Point and Excel

Experiences:

First experiences through internships in the areas of project management, finance, insurance and/or consultancy/policy work in the areas of renewables, climate change desired

Excellent analytical skills

Independent, power of initiative

Team player
