Job description
What you do.
This role consists of managing a Finance Solutions department, part of Finance Factory. It implies to organize & steer the department, lead and develop the people and have the proper IT tools develop and maintain internal controls & procedures, monitor performance of the activities and encourage & facilitate communication to ensure the excellence of the operations related to the delivering of a portfolio of Finance Factory projects which could be related to Organizational transformation, new/improved IT Solution, Process Improvement, and Change Management.
Key Result Areas
Project Initiation
- Perform research and analysis.
- Identify organizational and process improvement opportunities.
- Define the project by describing the business needs, project benefits and stakeholders and by designing a project charter and a business case.
- Obtain the approval of the project.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Project Set-up and Plan
- Plan and schedule with related cost estimation and scope control responsibilities.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Develop a roadmap for the team to follow.
- Organize the team and set goals.
- Review the project's benefits to support business-case process improvement.
Project Execution
- Launch the Project with dedicated kick-off.
- Assign resources.
- Manage the project team, driving motivation, collaboration and performance.
- Execute project management plans.
- Ensure Task assignments are executed.
- Organize Status meetings.
- Lead project team meetings effectively and communicate action plans and outcomes.
- Coordinate all project tasks and interdependencies.
- Modify project plans and update project schedule as needed.
- Develop and maintain all project documentation and ensure proper storage in line with internal control requirements.
- Ensure project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Project Steering
- Set up tracking systems.
- Track project metrics.
- Continually identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks.
- Track actual expenses with the project budget.
- Define, track, and report results of project milestones and success metrics through weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting.
- Report to the Project stakeholders the project status with related Risks and Mitigation actions.
Project Closure
- Hold a post-mortem meeting to evaluate successes and failures.
- Create a project punchlist of things that did not get accomplished during the project and work with team members to complete them.
- Perform a final project budget and a final project report.
- Collect all project deliverables and documents and store them in a single place.
