The FP&A Manager / Senior Analyst will be part of the Finance Planning & Controlling team and will work closely with fellow finance professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing to drive continuous improvement for Allianz entities. Key responsibilities include group and management reporting, preparing and presenting financial results to key stakeholders, and providing in-depth, insightful analysis on variances against prior periods and budgets. The role also involves monitoring changes across portfolios and ensuring timely updates are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Assist in the budgeting and forecasting of the annual business plan, closely monitoring the budget and performance against plan on a monthly basis, highlighting trend and variances.
· Support the Planning & Controlling team where needed to deliver insightful, actionable and business-oriented analysis and reports to Management, Regional Finance and to Group.
· Preparation of management reporting, P&L and BS analysis, analysing financial performance of the company, and liaising with the relevant business to provide meaningful commentaries.
· Perform detailed expense analysis to support the expense allocation under IFRS17.
· Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports in accordance with group reporting requirements.
· Provide suggestions and assist to improve the efficiency of existing reporting processes and enhance the quality of finance reports.
· Develop in-depth understanding of financial results, business performance and market trends of the company.
Capabilities and Qualifications:
· Degree in Finance / Accounting.
· Minimum 4 to 5 years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Financial Accounting experience within Insurance industry, preferably General Insurance. More experienced candidates will be considered for the FP&A Manager role.
· Strong technical competencies in insurance accounting and the environment, preferably with FP&A experience.
· Strong analytical and numerical skills.
· Strong communication skills.
· Strong stakeholder management ability with ability to influence without authority.
· High standards of accuracy and precision, good attention to detail, and highly organised.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and Power Point.
· Experience in SAP applications would be ideal but not necessary.
