The primary purpose of this role is to manage the Enterprise Resilience program, including Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Global Incident Management activities within AAL under the guidance of the protection and resilience framework and standards.

 

About the role

· 
Planning, integrating testing, and governing activities to ensure AAL is identifying and mitigating risks related to the loss of People, Premises, Technology, and Supplier disruptions.

· 
Preparing for and responding to disruptive events (realised risks) in a manner that demonstrates effective command and control of incident (crisis) response, coordination, and service continuity, while advising on the recovery and restoration of business-critical services and operations within agreed risk appetite levels.

· 
Assisting in formulating a vision and strategy for Enterprise Resilience within AAL and its subsidiaries, across the domains of Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Global Incident Management.

· 
Maintaining an effective Enterprise Resilience Program to manage resilience risks within the approved risk appetite and ensuring compliance with APRA regulations and Allianz Group Protection and Resilience Standards.

· 
Administrative support for resilience management committees and including status reports and dashboards.

· 
Developing testing processes and providing oversight of Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Incident Management exercises.

· 
Assessing and identifying risks that may impact AAL’s reputation, safety, security, and financial wellbeing, while acting as an SME and thought leader across entities within the Group.

· 
Coordinating, organising, and evaluating education and training programs to ensure key personnel are fully equipped to fulfil their resilience responsibilities effectively.

· 
Identifying opportunities to enhance plans, preparedness, and response strategies, and monitoring the implementation of actions from post-incident/event evaluations.

· 
Preparing regular Enterprise Resilience analysis and reports detailing compliance with the Protection & Resilience (P&R) framework and standards, including policies, procedures, maturity models, plans, metrics, sourcing strategies, and scorecards for the overall program and its components.

 

About you

· 
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or experience working in a business resilience role acquired in a complex, matrixed corporate organisation.

· 
Extensive understanding of controls related to resilience and continuity crisis, business continuity and major incident management.

· 
Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes, demonstrating also an appreciation of both IT and business strategy.

· 
Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and can quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.

· 
Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.

· 
Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision-making.

· 
Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate solutions.

· 
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands

· 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical specification writing and documentation, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.

· 
Experience working within a similar role in the banking/ financial services industry is highly desirable

· 
Experience of using Everbridge or similar crisis and incident management system (desirable but not necessary)

· 
Relevant professional certification such as the Business Continuity Institute (desirable but not necessary)
