Position Summary
The IT Infrastructure and Security Disaster Recovery Coordinator in Allianz Technology Malaysia, Regional Delivery Center (RDC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the disaster recovery (DR) plans and processes to ensure the resilience and continuity of IT infrastructure and security systems. This role involves collaborating with various departments to prepare for potential disruptions, coordinating recovery efforts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure and security systems, ensuring alignment with business continuity objectives.
· Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats to IT systems and data.
· Testing and Drills: Coordinate and conduct regular disaster recovery tests and drills to evaluate the effectiveness of DR plans, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
· Incident Response Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact during disaster recovery events, coordinating response efforts, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely recovery of critical systems.
· Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and test results, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
· Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and business continuity teams to ensure a cohesive approach to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
· Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on disaster recovery procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of preparedness.
· Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and IT security.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing disaster recovery processes and technologies, staying informed about emerging trends and technologies in DR and IT security.
· Any other duties when deemed necessary. Completing projects on various issues when needed.
· Cloud Management: Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure. Implement and manage cloud security measures to protect data and systems.
· Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
· Global Collaboration: Work with global teams to manage and deliver globally managed services. Coordinate with global teams to ensure alignment and consistency in service delivery.
Key requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, IT infrastructure management, or IT security.
· Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and security principles
· Experience with disaster recovery tools and technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
· Certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are desirable.
· This role may require occasional after-hours work to conduct disaster recovery tests and respond to incidents.
· The position may involve collaboration with remote teams and vendors to ensure effective disaster recovery support and integration
