Job role
We are seeking a versatile DEI Data & Insights Specialist to support our global DEI team. This role is essential in helping us aggregate, interpret, and visualize DEI data, even when it’s unstructured, limited, or requires validation as well as perform market research and competitive analysis. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, strong skills in Excel, a keen eye for data visualization, and a passion for telling stories through data. Experience in DEI or HR-related data is a plus, but a genuine interest in these areas is just as valuable.
What you will do
• Data Collection & Aggregation:
o Gather DEI-related data from a variety of internal and external sources, often dealing with unstructured or incomplete data sets.
o Conduct thorough quality checks to validate and clean data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
o Use Excel to clean, aggregate, and manage data efficiently.
• Data Interpretation & Storytelling:
o Analyze and interpret data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that align with our DEI objectives.
o Develop narratives and insights from the data that can be easily understood by diverse audiences.
• Data Visualization & Reporting:
o Create compelling visuals and reports that effectively communicate DEI metrics and progress.
o Utilize Excel and other visualization tools to present data in a clear and engaging manner.
o Prepare and present regular reports to leadership and stakeholders, with a focus on actionable insights drawn from limited data.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
o Conduct research to identify DEI trends, best practices, and benchmarks within the industry.
o Perform competitive analysis to understand how our DEI efforts compare to industry standards.
o Translate research findings into strategic recommendations that enhance our DEI initiatives.
• Collaboration & Support:
o Work closely with the People Analytics & Reporting team to integrate DEI metrics into broader HR analytics and reporting processes.
o Ensure alignment between DEI objectives and overall business strategy through data-driven insights.
o Collaborate closely with the global DEI team to understand data needs and provide meaningful insights.
o Stay informed on the latest DEI research and tools to continuously improve our approach.
What you bring
• Degree in relevant field of study (e.g. MBA, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics/
Statistics, Computer Science).
• Experience in competitive analysis and benchmarking is desirable.
• Experience with DEI metrics is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills in English. German or other language skills are a plus.
• High proficiency in MS Office software (especially PowerBI, (Power)Excel and PowerPoint)
• High interest in working with data
You have
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced functions and data visualization tools such as ThinkCell.
o Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus but not required.
o Experience with DEI metrics is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Research & Analysis Skills:
o Strong ability to conduct online research, analyze trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• DEI Knowledge:
o Understanding of DEI concepts, with a passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
o Experience with DEI data or HR data is preferred but not required.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication skills, with a passion for telling stories with data.
o Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
