Job purpose/role
In the Thematic and Policy Research team within Group Economic Research we aim to provide economic and industry insights that help our clients define and implement their multi-asset mid-term investment strategy. We provide economic and strategic advice ranging from economic forecasts to scenario analysis to thematic research for decision making and thought leadership. Our recommendations are based on thorough analysis of economic data and capital market information, using fundamental analysis and quantitative modeling.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and support the climate (physical and transition) risks and opportunities analysis
- Assist in the preparation, data collection, aggregation and analysis of climate-related information and data
- Prepare internal and external communication materials related to climate research
- Work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Support the team with administrative and organizational tasks
Key requirements / Skills / Experience
- You are currently working towards a university degree (enrolled in a master or PhD program) in economics, finance, management, sustainability, business administration, and/or any other related field.
- You have strong skills in quantitative analysis, such as econometrics, machine learning, IO modeling, etc.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong data management and analytical skills
- IT and programming skills; knowledge Python, R, or other programming languages is a must.
- Knowledge and/or an interest in climate economics, sustainable business practices, responsible investment, sustainability ratings and ESG issues are an asset.
- Ideally, you should already have gained first practical experience in the fields of insurance, investment, sustainability, project management, consulting and/or communications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required; German or another European language are an asset.
- Good writing and story-telling skills to help promote our reports across our internal and external channels are also a plus.
