We are hiring for Claims & Collections Officer to join our team in Dubai. The role reports to Head of Claims & Collections

 

The role 

Claims & Collections Officer is in charge of processing claims and collection files received from policyholders and coordination with the other involved functions on claims and collections related topics

 

Main Tasks

- Entering and processing of Claims received via Eolis, mail or fax.   

- Review the accuracy of the content of the Claim

- Contacting client or buyer regarding supporting information/documentation and/or OVD/claim status.                                                                                                    

- Updating recoveries as per information received from the client.

- Escalate the adverse Claims to management and other RIC functions (Info and UW)

- Analyse all the Claims up to a certain threshold and escalating the case to the next level to minimize the severity impact                                        

 - Liaise/coordinating with Commercial and Credit Intelligence teams                                                                                        

- Preparing ad-hoc and regular reports 

 

Skills and Expertise Required

- Business expertise: understanding the overdue management and claim process

- Interpersonal skills:

  *Good communication skills with strong ability to convince on decisions taken.

  *Know how to interact with people from different backgrounds

  *Negotiation skills to be able to facilitate effective collections on behalf of policyholders
-  Educational requirements:

·  Finance background Bsc. in Finance/Accounting                            
·  Strong writing and communication skills in English
·  CFA or equivalent professional qualification
·  Banking or Credit Insurance experience
·  Corporate Finance or Credit management experience
