We are looking for a Subrogation Claims Handler within the Property, Construction, Natural Resources and Entertainment Claims Department based in Paris.

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting to the Head of Claims Property, Natural Resources, Construction and Entertainment, You will join as a member of the Property, Construction, Natural Resources and Entertainment Claims Department of Allianz Commercial Large Corp in France, you will be responsible for managing the subrogation actions, both amicably and judicially, within the scope of the authorities entrusted to you. 


Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

Identify opportunities for subrogation on claims under management  

Safeguard subrogation actions and assist Claims Handler in this task 

Analyze technical and legal claims data to determine subrogation possibilities 

Take the necessary amicable and legal action to pursue and ensure the success of subrogation actions 

Develop and implement a subrogation strategy, provide solutions, and secure the support of stakeholders  

Determine the amount of the subrogation 

Ensure financial subrogation of claims 

Monitor and scrupulously apply deadlines for processing subrogation (escalation procedure) 

Select and manage external service providers (experts and lawyers) 

Organize and manage meetings required for subrogation management 

Carry out tasks complementary to subrogation management (internal and external recourse reporting on claims in the portfolio, claims reviews, etc.).   

Update subrogation reporting tools and provide management with a quantified summary of recourse obtained. 

Develop internal relations with other Allianz Commercial departments, and external relations with Clients and brokers. 

Handle non-subrogation claims files in Property  

Manage Client accounts as Claims Account Manager, proposing, organizing, and directing customer service initiatives. 

Implement and lead actions and projects in line with our clients’ needs and our desire for being the market leader. 


What You’ll Bring to the Role 

Legal training (Bacelor +3/4 years) with initial experience in a Claims or Legal Department 

Organized and structured - deadline-driven 

Ability to analyze, summarize and write 

Ability to argue, negotiate and make decisions 

Ability to take initiative  

Good interpersonal skills and strong team spirit 

Result, Client and market orientation  

French language skills
