About the Role:

 

Reporting to the Head of IT Allianz Technology Australia, , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance and development of Chapters within your Chapter Area. You will support Tribe and organizational leadership in decision-making through your strategic vision and expertise.

 

The Chapter Area Lead is a Senior Management Team member and requires a seasoned professional with a passion for people development and a deep understanding of Agile delivery.

 

Other key aspects of the role:

 

·  Leadership and Talent Development : Leading and developing Chapter Leads, guiding career direction, performance evaluation, and talent management. Set up and manage offshore teams and lead Chapters across multiple countries.
·  Strategic Vision and Support: Providing strategic direction and market perspectives to the Senior Management Team, supporting Tribe leadership in prioritizing initiatives and creating action plans.
·  Agile Delivery and Project Management : Driving Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) to optimize workflows and foster cross-team collaboration for efficient project execution.
·  Technical Expertise and Quality Management: Ensuring technical consistency and high product quality through solution design, systems architecture, and quality management practices, including test automation, TDD, and BDD.
·  Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Acting as a reference for resolving complex problems and lead the continual improvement of best practices and capability development.
·  Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with strategic partners and stakeholders, supporting the design of onshore/offshore and internal/external chapters.

 

Important to your success:

 

·  Allianz Technology Australia – Senior Management Team (SMT):  Enable and facilitate collaboration across the SMT and organisation
·  Chapter Leads within the Chapter Area:  Strategic guidance, support, and alignment on standards to drive excellence within respective chapter
·  Extended Leadership Team (ELT):  Ensure visibility of capability hotspots and strategies to align evolving capability expectations, demands and needs of Chapter members and organisation.
·  Tribe Leadership Teams, COE’s and Squads:  Ensure capability alignment to organisational needs.
·  Similar Chapter Areas across the broader Allianz Group:  Ensure alignment on emerging and evolving best practices relevant to Chapter Area.
·  Agility Chapter:  Work closely with Agile Coaches and Agility Chapter members to co-create and evolve best practices and alignment to the Global Agile Blueprint.
